Loved living here. Beautiful grounds, well kept apartments with easy access to BREC park and workout room. Complex is tucked away and feels very natural, but great location in the middle of Baton Rouge.
As a former resident, I would like to share how great this complex was. The apartment was great and see good sun- based on my preference. The management was very responsive. And it is very conveniently located. Thank you for the great experience!
My recommendation is to stay away from this apartment complex. I stayed here for almost a month with a relative and I know what I'm talking about. Here are some things to consider about Mansions in the Park. Go there yourself to confirm. 1) it refuses to add garbage dumpsters for the trash which is overflowing all over at least once a week. It has 4 dumpsters for 11 buildings, which is not enough. If you visit the complex to scope it out, stop at the dumpsters and form your own opinion. For me, the area around the dumpsters is smelly, unkept, trashy, a hygiene issue for residents. 2) Good luck relaxing at your apartment, because very little noise enforcement is done - things such as people who live above you, neighbors who let their dogs bark inside the apartment or outside unsupervised on the balconies. 3) Good luck strolling across the "relaxing grounds and manicured lawns" -- you'll likely step on dog poop, which is rampant throughout the area. 4) Good luck walking in relaxing areas the evenings after work -- you'll likely encounter speeding cars who zip around without regard for their neighbors. They have speed bumps in some areas, but need 2 - 3 more. 5) Good luck enjoying your building, because the stairwells are dirty, dusty, and rarely cleaned. All sorts of bugs reside in the stairwells and areas in front of your door. 6) Good luck with parking your car, because it will get broken into. The complex is not that secure and break-ins happen, yet for some reason, the residents are rarely told about the crime problem. My relative got one email months ago, but other stuff has been happening recently. This place is overvalued and costs way too much for the problems which must be endured. My relative will not renew their lease.
Horrible apartment complex! No where for guests to park. A friend of mine has lived here since around the holidays. The temperature in the apartment remains 85-90 degrees since April. They have sent a few people to check on it and “clean” it, yet the temperature stays 85-90 degrees. They have tried to convince my friend that it’s because it’s an upstairs apartment, directly in the sunlight, and because of the unseasonable hot temperatures that this temperature situation in the apartment is normal. It wasn’t unseasonably hot temperatures in April or May but yet the unit still wasn’t functioning correctly. The utility bill is ridiculously high and it would be fine if the AC did it’s job. Not ONE person from the office has physically got off their bottom to walk and feel the unlivable persistent temperatures that has been completely unbearable. Furthermore, there is mold in the vent and NOTHING has been done to rectify the problem any of the problems. The only effort being made to address it is when the office staff tries to convince the tenant that it’s normal. Let me add that tree branches need to be trimmed as it obscures the few parking spaces guest have.
A maintenance man came in and said “this is the hottest upstairs apartment he has been in and that something is wrong.” Supposedly, he would be back to look into it. Not surprisingly, he hasn’t been back and does the office staff care or are they in an 85-90 degree apartment. Absolutely not!
I have been living here for a few months now and it has been such a breath of fresh air compared to my last apartment complex. The admin team are always on top of their game with reminders and making sure you feel included with what is happening around the complex. Additionally, the gym is 10/10. I cancelled my gym membership it is that good. The maintenance team (mainly Derrick) is awesome. He always lets you know whether things are taken care of and if there is a delay he explains why. Overall, I love living here and love the atmosphere of the grounds. Highly recommend.
I wouldn't recommend living here. They will charge you for almost anything with a smile. This place is all about taking your money. And forget about getting all of your deposit back. But it is a beautiful piece of property with a good maitniece crew. It's just managed to take your money. The application process should be more strict about who they let move in. If your going to be paying that kind of money. You don't want to be living below someone that is noisy and throws trash off there balcony, and I'm not going to file a complaint. So they can be staring at me when going to my apartment.
This is a great place to live. It has a heavily wooded area with access to not only the fitness center and pool, but also to the BREC park close by. The management has also been very helpful.
I could not have asked for a better first apartment! My fiancé and I lived here for just under a year and the only reason we’re moving is because he got a job out of state. The staff were wonderful, kind, and so helpful! Any maintenance …
